Diagnosis:
Leukoma Asperrima is a type of marine organism, which is part of the Leukoma Genus. Leukoma Asperrima is in the Veneridae Family and Veneroidea Superfamily, the Veneroida Order. It can be further characterized as in the Euheterodonta Infraclass in the Heterodonta Subclass. It forms part of the Bivalvia Class, which is part of the Mollusca Phylum that is in the Animalia Kingdom. This organism is a type of species with a mantle with a significant cavity used for breathing and waste, a radula and a nervous system (squid, snails, oysters, etc.).
Leukoma Asperrima is related to or has the following physical characteristics: laterally compressed bodies , enclosed by a shell in 2 parts called valves hinged on a flexible ligament, the hinge is located in the sagittal plane, the shell is composed of calcium carbonate, shell is bilaterally symmetric, interlocking teeth help the values interlock, they do not have a brain, the nervous system consists of a nerve network and a series of paired ganglia, majority are filter feeders, majority have no head, majority have no radula, gills have evolved into ctenidia for feeding and breathing, has a mantle with a significant cavity used for breathing and excretion, most mollusks have a radula, has a nervous system, multicellular organism, eukaryote (nucleus and organelles in membrane), body plan becomes fixed eventually, excluding metamorphosis, motile (most species), must ingest another organisms or their product to live
